What Is Smart DM Variation?

Smart DM Variation is a feature that rotates through multiple DM templates so you are not sending the exact same message to every person. This helps your messages look natural and reduces the chance of being flagged for spam.

How It Works:

Enable "Smart DM Variation" when creating your campaign

Add multiple DM template variations (we recommend at least 3)

When a DM is sent, the system automatically picks a different template each time

Templates are rotated in order, so messages are spread evenly

Setting It Up:

On the Create Campaign page, check the "Enable Smart DM Variation" box

A section will appear where you can add additional templates

Click "Add Variation" to add more templates

Each template can have a different tone, structure, or approach

All templates should include either {OPTIN_LINK} if you’re using the built-in optin pages or your offer link where you want your link

Example Variation Set:

Template 1: "Hey! Saw your comment about [topic]. I put together a free guide that covers exactly this. Check it out: {OPTIN_LINK}"

Template 2: "Hi there! Great point. I actually created a resource on this. Thought you might find it useful: {OPTIN_LINK}"

Template 3: "Hey, I noticed you are interested in [topic]. I have something that might help. Here is the link: {OPTIN_LINK}"

Why It Matters: Reddit's spam detection looks for patterns, including identical messages sent to multiple users. By varying your messages, each DM looks unique and personal, which is exactly how natural Reddit conversations work.
